Documentation for Market Installation and Health and Safety

In preparation for our market that was going to be on next week, we needed to complete some documents which would allow us to have a stall up and running. We received an email from Anthony which said the three documents that were needed by a particular time and date so the documents could be read and used for when our market is stalled and checked on the morning of the market.

For the floor plan I just used photoshop to give an rough idea as to where things would be placed and how the bean bags would be placed around the new design that we thought of which was the Teepee design. I made the layout pretty vague because I wanted to make sure that there was a bit of leniency when making this plan as we weren't 100% sure as to how it was going to be set up until the tuesday night/wednesday morning. Things don't always go to plan but making this plan did help when creating the stall.

The run sheet was something that was important to make sure that everything was going to run to a plan and that we were ready for what time the market was going to start which was 10am. For this I made sure that the night before was included as this was the main time slot we used to install the Teepee and collect beanbags for the next day. This would allow us to make sure that in the morning we had everything ready like the needles, fabric and the computers had the zapper set up and ready for people to use. Having this run sheet also helped us to be ready for when the health and safety team came around as well as Hugh and Jen.
Finally for the documentation on post was put on our Markets Facebook page asking for this document to be completed where we explicitly had to state things that would be a health and safety hazard and what the ratings of these would be. The consequence of the damage and the probability of this happening. The four main things that needed to be stated were the hanging of the teepee, lantern cables (that didn't end up being used), exposed needles and hanging decorations. With adding a scoring to these individually and what might happen, this allowed us to understand what we needed to be careful with when installing things like the teepee and decorations but also knowing what might be a hazard and how these can be controlled.

After completing these I sent these onto Sammy just to check that all the documentation was correct and included everything that would be needed to pass the Health and Safety check as well as the other requirements. Afterwards we got an email saying that our group had passed but also had a few suggestions which would be good for our stall to have to be sure that we have taken into account everything that could happen and solutions. One thing we weren't able to includes our floor plan in context as we were setting up our market in the next couple of days and we didn't get enough time but overall I believe that the documentation being completed correctly from the beginning really helped make our stall run smoothly.
