Working With Zappar


One of the design teams was working on the poster for our market, and told us they were going to be using Zappar as the medium, and encouraged us (stall-holders) to make our own if we wished. This is something we initially decided not to partake in, until the poster for our market was released that claimed 'look out for more codes in the market'. We then decided we might need to have it, and it could easily be displayed on the computer screens next to our stall.

However, when it came to execution and our market day, Zappar was not always encouraged to be downloaded and there were very few people that actually had it, and it seemed to confuse people a lot. We assumed market-goers would be shown on entry the intractability for the posters, but this didn't seem to be the case. There also didn't seem to be other codes in the market like the poster claimed. We also had difficulty stopping the computers from timing out. However, the people who did use Zappar seemed to really enjoy it.
